Creative lighting was hired by the Embassy of Finland to light up the Arch of Hadrian with the colors of the finish flag, in order to celebrate the 100 years anniversary of the Finish Independence Day. The location of the monument made the project very challenging, as it is situated outdoors in a public space, on a very busy and bright at night crossroad with lots of cars and people passing by. There were several parameters that should be taken into consideration: The lights shouldn’t neither obstr uct pedestrians crossing nor block the view of the Arch. Fixtures chosen had to convey with outdoor use regulations and produce vibrant blue at the same time. The lighting output had to be more luminous than the one produced by the existing road lights, without blinding the drivers. It’s been a wonderful lighting experience!
